Micellar Water was originally developed for early 20th Century Parisians with limited plumbing and hard water that was harsh on the skin. Modern day environmental toxins in our air and water call for Micellar Water as an effective alternative to gently cleanse the skin without irritation.

How does it work? Small molecules surround dirt, grime and oil, then naturally form tiny spheres (micelles) and gently lift them away from your skin as you wipe them away with a cotton pad, NO RINSING REQUIRED!

Ancient Wisdom & Cutting-Edge Science

Micellar water was popularized by French women who began using it in the early 1900s, when plumbing wasn’t available everywhere and the water in France was quite harsh on the skin.

Washing your face with hard water can be rough on your skin, disrupting the skin’s barrier function. If that barrier is disrupted, conditions such as rosacea, acne, eczema, and dermatitis can get worse. Basically, with a damaged barrier, your skin isn’t protected well from outside irritating factors.

Micellar water proved to be a useful alternative – and much better for the skin – than the hard Parisian water.

Product Care

Our products could be considered the “fresh produce” of personal care products, best used within 4 to 6 months of purchase. Please store at or below 75 f or 24 C and use the product or discard after 6 months.

To prolong product life, it is recommended to store unopened product in the refrigerator until it is opened. Once opened, storage on the countertop is recommended. Please use within 4 months.

Given the natural variation of organic botanical sources, color, shade, tint, and scent may vary from batch to batch.

Above 75 degrees (24C) the product can separate. This does not mean that it has gone “bad”! It is still useful if you stir vigorously to combine and then place it in the refrigerator; it can reform. If not, put the jar of the product in a small pot of water to gently raise the temperature to about 105-110 F (40-43C). Take it out of the hot water bath and stir vigorously with a clean butter knife until the product has reformed. Immediately put in the refrigerator and its consistency should return to its original state.

Beware of a product that can remain on the shelf for more than six months or remain stable at a relatively high room temperature. No returns are accepted for old or incorrectly stored products.

Morning Routine

Cleanse skin with Micellar W a ter upon arising.
Apply a drop or two of Hyaluronic Acid & Vitamin C Eye Serum to your ring finger then lightly dab around your eye where dark circles, puffiness, and wrinkles appear.
Lightly apply Organic Anti-aging Day Cream to the face, neck and back of hands including cuticles with ring finger or facial brush.

Evening Routine:

Cleanse skin with your favorite Heirloom Apothecary Facial Bar or Ultra Nourishing Facial Cleanse.
Splash face with Ultra Nourishing Toner for extra hydration.
Apply a drop or two of Hyaluronic Acid & Vitamin C Eye Serum to your ring finger then lightly dab around your eye where dark circles, puffiness, and wrinkles appear.
Lightly apply Night Rejuvenation Serum.

Tips and Tricks

Apply toner with a cotton pad to lift impurities from the skin.
Apply Micellar Water or Ultra Nourishing Toner with a cotton pad to lift impurities from the skin.
Apply day cream with a prep brush. Additional brushes are a professional addition to your morning routine.
